get involved
We’re calling Lost in Waco a COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY ARTS PROJECT and we mean it. We need the talent and contributions from a diverse group of Wacoans to bring this publication to life. We need people sharing their stories, showing us THEIR Waco. There are a number of ways for people to get involved:
IDEAS.
We want to tell diverse stories from all corners of Waco. If you have any ideas for aspects of Waco arts and culture that we need to highlight, please, reach out and let us know.
WRITERS.
1) We need people who are open to getting an assignment and writing about a subject we supply.
2) We’re also interested in story ideas you are already itching to write. For those, send us a proposal of no more than 300 words, telling us the story you’d like to tackle.
PHOTOGRAPHERS.
1) Do you have a camera and a good eye and just need an assignment? Awesome, we need you.
2) Have you got your own idea for a photo story? Submit either photos or a proposal of no more than 300 words.
ADDITIONAL CONTENT.
Are you a designer, editor or illustrator who would like to get involved? Let us know you’re interested.
NON-EDITORIAL HELP.
We’d also like to work with folks who have non-profit fundraising experience, accounting skills, publishing chops or want to be a Lost in Waco sponsor. Let us know if that’s you.
If any of this describes you, email us at submit@lostinwaco.org.
